Since 2019, Dr. Jochen Kalka has been co-leading the communications agency schoesslers alongside founder Julia Schössler. The agency works with innovative companies, startups, and digital transformers operating in fields such as AdTech, MarTech, mobility, and e-health—topics that often feel like they come from the future.
In the past, Jochen spent more than 20 years as editor-in-chief at Süddeutscher Verlag in Munich, where he was responsible for titles such as W&V – Werben & Verkaufen, Lead Digital, Media & Marketing, Kontakter, and Marketingjournal. For around 25 years, he also wrote for the business section of Süddeutsche Zeitung.
He regularly writes a column for the industry publication Marke 41 with a sharp editorial voice. He also attracted attention with his book “Startup-Lüge”, in which the self-proclaimed startup enthusiast criticizes questionable industry practices.
For three decades, he has been moderating at major industry events such as Deutscher Mediapreis, DMEXCO, Hamburger Dialog, d3con, Communication Circle, and B2B Marketing Days.
